Job Description



Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Finance Team and is responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and monthly and quarterly reports for managers and outside agencies.  The Accountant will assist with annual audits and the reconciliation and analysis of accounts, the preparation of cost report schedules and annual operating budgets, and with RVU analysis for physician productivity. Also responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, maintaining fixed asset records, and entering monthly data into the Hospital Association Data  Bank. 

Essential Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required with 2 - 5 years in an accounting position. Healthcare experience preferred.  Must have experience with Microsoft Office and be proficient with Excel.  Strong understanding of accounting principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and with departments outside of Fiscal Services.
