Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs and/or provides assistance with diagnostic cardiac and neurology studies in accordance with Hospital, departmental, regulatory, and industry standards. Performs or provides assistance with the following procedures: electrocardiograms (EKGs), ambulatory cardiac monitoring (ZIO), cardiac exercise studies, and electroencephalographs (EEGs). Venipuncture skills are preferred but not required. Flexibility in work hours is required to meet patient care needs.
 
Essential Qualifications:  CPR certification is required or must be able to obtain when hired. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is necessary. Previous patient care and customer service experience are also required. Judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to recognize potential patient issues related to tests performed must be developed in order to notify primary healthcare providers of abnormalities. On-the-job training under the supervision of an experienced clinician is acceptable. The candidate will learn basic rhythm recognition skills within 6 months of hire. Typing and basic computer skills are necessary. Candidate will be required to sit for CCT exam within 2 years of hire.
