Job Summary:

The Oncology Department Manager  is responsible for and accountable to manage all patient care and services within the Oncology Department and oversees the scheduling, assignments, and work of all staff members within the department. The Oncology Manager directs and coordinates patient care while collaborating with physicians, oncology team members, insurance companies, social services, and ancillary/support services in addition to mentoring staff and conducting performance reviews. Successful applicant must possess knowledge of the new Federal Privacy Rules (HIPPA), of HCFA standards specific to Critical Access Hospitals, New Hampshire Board of Nursing rules, and the rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Nursing Practice. 

Essential Requirements: A degree in business management or administration with previous management or supervisory experience in healthcare is preferred. Proficient computer skills (EMR, timekeeping) and proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) are required. Clinical license/certification within the State of NH may be required and five (5) years of current acute oncology/chemotherapy clinical experience, preferably in a fast-paced outpatient setting Basic Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Course is preferred..
