Job Description



Job Summary:

Performs all aspects of cardiac sonography, which includes transthoracic two-dimensional, m-mode, and doppler procedures; Transesophageal; pharmacologic/non-pharmacologic stress echocardiograms; and imaging procedures. 

Essential Qualifications: Completion of an approved AMA or credentialed program in cardiovascular technology; Registry eligibility for a registered cardiovascular technologist or registered diagnostic cardiographic sonographer (RDCS); 2 years experience as a cardiac sonographer with advanced skills in stress echocardiograms; Adult experience required; Pediatric experience preferred (in addition to the adult experience); Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or obtain one within one month of hire required. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and demonstrated effective communication and human relation skills also required. Experience with Vascular Ultrasound preferred.
