Prior general surgery experience and current performance of endoscopic procedures are required, given the independent nature of surgical practice within a Critical Access Hospital.

- Emergency and On-Call Coverage: Participate in shared call rotation, independently assess urgent surgical needs, and provide emergency surgical care within the hospital's capabilities.
- Collaboration and Care Coordination: Work closely with surgical colleagues, advanced practice providers, primary care, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Clinical Documentation and Safety: Maintain accurate documentation, follow professional and regulatory standards, and support quality-improvement and patient safety initiatives.
