Job Summary:

The Home Medical Equipment Technician must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Home Medical and uphold its standard for excellence. Responsible for competent, efficient, and friendly delivery and set up of equipment and supplies to customers in their homes. Responsible for equipment checks, education to clients and their families/caregivers, service, cleaning, documentation, and safeguarding company assets while in their care. Must be able to assist with administrative aspects as well including answering phones, scheduling, and appropriate documentation.

 

Physical Qualifications: In an average 8-hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 65 pounds frequently, stands/walks for 3 hours, and sits for 1 hour. (These hours include up to 1 hours of data entry/phone work.) and drives up to 4 hours.

 

Essential Qualifications: Must be an experienced driver with a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record, be detailed oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, and good computer/keyboard skills.  Must be able to handle a heavy phone load, work independently without supervision, and be able to maintain confidentiality. Required to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude and be sensitive to people characteristics with a desire to help others.
