The Housekeeper/Laundry person is responsible for maintaining the environment in a clean and safe manner. The Housekeeper/Laundry person is also responsible for processing, storage, and distributing of linen under the most sanitary conditions; to ensure that infection control is carried out during the laundering process. Housekeeping/Laundry processes need to be consistent with standards established by Administration in conjunction with the Infection Control and Safety Committees.
Essential Qualifications: High school education or equivalent is not required, but one must be able to read, understand written documents and write. Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions. After training, be able to work independently with little supervision. One year in Housekeeping/Laundry is desirable, but not necessary. Worker should reach full productivity after brief on-the-job training.
