Job Description
Position Overview
Responsible for a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, including skilled troubleshooting and repairs for all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (e.g., air handlers, chillers, cooling and heating pumps, cooling towers, rooftop units, through-wall heaters, reheat systems, and DDC-controlled variable air volume systems). This position also supports general building maintenance, such as sheetrock work, carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, seasonal snow removal, plumbing systems, boilers, and electrical circuits. The role includes "on-call" responsibilities, requiring a 30-minute response time for urgent needs, including working weekends when on-call.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in facilities maintenance, with hospital maintenance experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills; knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems.
- Licensure/Certification:
- NH UST (Underground Storage Tank) certification (must be obtained within one year of the start date).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Personal Attributes: Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and be self-motivated.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including balancing, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be capable of working in various conditions, including confined spaces, high places, and adverse weather conditions.
