Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor - LICSW / LCMHC

 

Location: Hybrid - Whitefield, Lancaster NH, and remote

Position Type: Full Time
Shift: Monday-Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

 

 

Job Summary:

 

North Country Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to join our behavioral health team. This full-time position is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families experiencing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, or emotional distress.

 

The clinician will perform assessments, provide diagnosis, and deliver individual counseling services using evidence-based treatment modalities. As part of a multidisciplinary care team, you’ll help patients navigate their path to wellness through compassionate support, education, and appropriate referrals.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals and families using evidence-based practices
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Offer education and counseling to support healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborate with medical providers, care coordinators, and community resources
  • Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited program
  • Current New Hampshire licensure as LICSW or LCMHC (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, families, staff, and community partners
