Job Description

Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for building(s) maintenance. Performs all tasks pertaining to building maintenance such as sheetrock work, carpentry, and painting, grounds keeping, and snow removal. Assists in repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, air handlers, plumbing systems, boilers, and electrical circuits. Operates hospital vehicles to make deliveries and pick up supplies at offsite locations. Assist in moving equipment or furniture.  Position includes "on call" responsibilities with a 30-minute response time. 

 

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or certification in a maintenance-related field is preferred.
  • Must possess a driver’s license and able to obtain a commercial drivers medical card.

Work Experience:

  • Knowledge of electrical, HVAC systems and steam piping systems is preferred.
  • Prior experience in all aspects of hospital maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing and boiler systems.
  • Familiarity with computer applications required.
  • Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications used.
  • Prior knowledge operating power equipment. (Snowplowing, Snow blowers, Lawn mowers, Compact tractor.)
