    Job Summary

    Under the supervision of the Medical Practice Supervisor, the Medical Assistant Apprentice, will participate in a formal on-the-job training program with the goal of completing the classroom and hands on clinical experience, meeting eligibility to successfully complete the Certified Clinical medical Assistant (CCMA) exam from the National Health Career Association.


    Essential Qualifications: LNA or EMT Certification. A desire to provide patient care services in an ambulatory setting with prior healthcare experience being a plus. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required. Congenial, pleasant, and friendly disposition is required, as this position involves continuous contact with the public, frequently when patients do not feel well or are upset. Ability to interact with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in a helpful, courteous manner is an asset. Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment is preferred. Must be familiar with computer applications and  have the technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.
