Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Medical Assistant Team Leader are to coordinate the functions of the Specialty Practice including optimizing workflow and improving efficiency. The Team Leader also functions as a Medical Assistant. Oversees clinical/clerical issues working closely with medical assistants, nursing, providers, and front desk staff.

Essential Qualifications:  Prior experience as a Certified Medical Assistant is preferred. Prior experience in a health care organization, especially a physician’s office practice is preferred.  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. A congenial, pleasant, and friendly disposition is required, as this position involves continuous contact with the public, frequently when patients do not feel well or are upset. The ability to interact with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in a helpful, courteous manner is a must. Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment is required. Proficient computer skills required (EMR, timekeeping, Microsoft Office [Outlook, Word, and Excel].
