Job Summary:

The OR Clinical Lead / Circulator is a registered nurse with experienced in all roles of the OR RN including circulator, scrub, and PACU. The ORCL must enjoy mentoring new OR RNs and surgical technicians. Also creates and implements programs for the orientation of new OR nurses, orientation of experienced nurses to new roles, and ongoing development of clinical skills for nursing staff. The Clinical Lead / Circulator facilitates the development of adult education skills for OR RNs using the principles of adult /peer learning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in team leadership, be self-directed in the acquisition of new skills, and foster a safe environment and culture for learning among nursing leadership and staff.

This individual will be the primary point of contact for the Surgical Services Department Manager and the OR Scheduler regarding management of block schedules, surgeon preferences, and communication operational needs and changes within the operating room suites. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Excellent communication skills Previous teaching experience with adult learners Current AHA Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS CNOR certification required within one year of hire. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekends to accommodate call requirements.
