RN Coord, Cardiopulmonary Rehab
Under the direction and supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Director, primary responsibilities involve overall coordination and administration of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program, participation in dobutamine stress echocardiograms and conscious sedation delivery, including recovery for transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions and stress tests. Involves marketing strategies with Medical Staff on program and services both on site and outreach, this includes presentations and community outreach programs and screening. Performs echocardiography studies on an as needed basis both on and off site. Coordinates daily activities of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nurse, including education and continued competency reviews.
Education, Required Licenses/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed with the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Must be BLS and ACLS certified. Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Program (formerly "Module I education program in coronary care nursing"). Completion of Conscious Sedation Competency. Completion of Cardiovascular Alterations Management (formerly "Module II education program in coronary care nursing") or CCRN designation. Work Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Two years recent experience in cardiopulmonary or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nursing. Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy and physiology is preferred. Understanding of the scientific principles upon which cardiovascular rehabilitation is based is preferred. Knowledge and experience with adult echocardiograms preferred. Demonstrated skills in arrhythmia recognition. Requires effective written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to teach patients and families effectively about medical topics and/or lifestyle changes. Willingness to work in a team oriented environment is necessary. Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, co-workers,Medical Staff, practitioners, volunteers, and visitors. Familiarity with computer applications required. Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications. Familiarity with compliance of regulatory standards, pre-certification processes, and medical billing preferred.
